Days 5 and 6!

Day 5- Helena, MT to Kalispell, MT
A pretty uneventful day... just getting closer to get to Glacier NP! But, Montana is a beautiful state- and we had a picnic at a nice little lake along the way. We've found picnicking to be a great way to stay on budget while road tripping!

Day 6- Glacier National Park
After dropping Zaxby off at doggie day care, we spent the day in Glacier National Park (entrance fee provided by our park pass- yay!) First, we drove the "Going to the Sun" road, the main road through the park.
Jackson Glacier

St. Mary's Lake

Taking in a view
We hiked the Hidden Lake Trail at Logan Pass - one of the most popular hikes.

The Hidden Lake overlook
There we saw tons of mountain goats- and Sus stalked them for a while.

Baby and parent!
Chlo got cornered by one!
We also saw some other wildlife.

Big horned sheep

Squirrels- sure they're not that rare, but this guy was adorable!

If you plan to visit Glacier, we recommend:
1. Spend more than one day. There is too much to see in a day, and a hike is a MUST!
2. Take the shuttles. There isn't enough parking near any of the main stops, especially Logan Pass.
3. Pack layers- as in many mountainous areas, the temperature changes drastically and quickly.
